Writing E-mail

Recently, i read a book named "Academic Writing for Graduate Students". There is an Appendix about how to write E-mail, and the topic is interesting. I extract some paragraph that is useful to me:

Studies of politeness suggest three elements for polite requests

2. Give options
3. Make the receiver feel good

Some Common Acronyms

• BTW = by the way
• FYI = for your information
• IMHO = in my humble opinion
